Machu Picchu
Photos By Ian

Machu Picchu is one of the main attractions of Peru. The famed Incan citidel captivates visitors from all over the world being one of the top must see destination for travellers. Its unique purpose still raises many mysteries.
Views of the Citidel
As you can see my visit to not the best of days, as clouds blocked what would be perfect views. However this all adds to the character, an incredible experience.

Climbing Huayna Picchu

Not for the faint hearted
Huayna Picchu is the neighbouring mountain next to Machu Picchu. Due to its nature and narrow and steep steps limited visitors are allowed each day. Pre booking is required if you are interested.
The views are incredible but not for those who don’t do too well with heights.
The Stairs of death – A popular but most challenging section of the climb, Very steep with no hold and yes the drop is one step away.
Other Impressive Views

My Machu Picchu trip was sadly clouded by weather, literally clouded. However I always look to the positives and that every experience is valuable. The place you visit has its characteristic and if it rains you must embrace it as thats what you travelled for right – to experience the place. Machu Picchu is still one of the best place ive been up to date, the Huayna Picchu climb is still one of my hardest climbs being a little weak with heights.
I fully recommend putting Machu Picchu in you bucket list, rain or shine you wont regret it.
