I chose Langkawi as part of a short circuited itinerary around Cambodia and Malaysia. The trip had everything from historic temples of Cambodia to city life Kuala Lumpur and on to island life in Langkawi and Koh Lipe. This stint of the trip was to relax and bask in nature.
Although an island, Langkawi is huge and there is so many different areas you can visit and stay in. Make sure you research before going as different locations have different characteristics.
Excursing to other islands
One of the best and memorable activity I did in Langkawi was the jet ski tour roaming around the other islands. A brilliant experience mixing adrenaline with exploration.
Full of Attractions
Langkawi is a place that strives to increase the influx of tourism. It looks like that the beauty of its beaches and surrounding islands are not enough. The island seems to have invested on building more attractions to in order to attract more. These are just a few of what the island has to offer.
Simple but amazing
Langkawi was not what I expected it to be, it was large with a lot of people however it was fairly quiet. There were understandably no nightlife which I believe due to it being a largely muslim location. Nonetheless it was a pleasure to visit, the place was very relaxing with a lot of friendly locals. Although this place was a island, there were numerous cities and high rise buildings. The this that stood out for me was this food park an incredible place with lots of delicious foods and beverages at affordable rates.
