Historic Capital of Peru
The wooden balconies, stone footpaths and stone structures makes a visit to Cusco unlike any. The city seems to stay intact with their traditions with strong history in every corner of the city.
Due to the high altitude of the city, it is advised that passing by and going straight to Machu Picchu is better to climatize than staying in the city right away. It is recommended that you stay here after Machu Picchu, a recommendation I wish i followed.

Due to the high altitude of the city, altitude sickness often happens to tourists, so give a few days to climatize. It is advised that passing by and going straight to Machu Picchu is better to climatize than staying in the city right away. It is recommended that you head straight to Machu Picchu and come back to stay, a recommendation I wish I followed.
